Darrin has been practicing law in Georgia since 1998. He went to Woodbridge Senior High School in Virginia. Darrin graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a BA in history in 1994. He attended Law School at the University of Southern California where he received his Juris Doctor in 1997.
He started his professional career as a political consultant in 1992 and consulted on dozens of political campaigns local to statewide. In 1998, he decided to leave full-time politics and focus on practicing law and built a successful practice in Northwest Georgia. His primary areas of focus in his practice are civil litigation, criminal defense and domestic relations. He also has extensive experience in juvenile courts with dependency, delinquency and termination of parental rights cases. He is well known as a formidable trial attorney and supervises all trials with the Allen Turner Law Firm.
He is admitted to practice in all Georgia Courts and has been admitted to federal practice in the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the Eastern District of Tennessee and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb County Bar Association, the Paulding County Bar Association, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He has served as Public Defender for the City of Dallas and City of Hiram. He is a former Solicitor for the City of Hiram. He has served twice as President of the Paulding County Bar Association
He is an avid soccer fan and Manchester United FC fanatic. He likes spend time with his wife and children, play poker, travel, and play the drums.
